Dr. P. Dodson

My passion for therapy came out of my own need. I began seeing an amazing therapist as an adolescent who is, in fact, still my therapist today. She inspired me to become a Psychologist and eventually be an asset to my community by offering mental health services. I graduated from Alliant University with a doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology and have worked in the field for fifteen years.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral and Attachment Theory as foundations to treatment,

however, my approach is eclectic overall to individualize treatment to the client's specific needs. I treat both adolescents and adults, focusing on trauma, intimacy, mood D/O, cultural identity, and more.

We are all works in progress and continue to face challenges and stressors along the way. I am here to aid in your journey and provide a supportive and safe space to explore and learn about yourself. Sometimes it feels as if the weight of the world is on our shoulders, and there is no hope...but I'm here to remind you that there is.
